wcoop, going hard or going home

so wcoop has started, and it hasn't gone as well as i'd hoped thus far. i placed 254th of 1100 or so in the $530 LO8 event, and just busted out in 1622nd of the LHE event. i'm not mad about the latter--the play was bad, i got into a huge 6-way pot with a draw and missed. i knew what i was doing, and it didn't hit for me. so it goes. i hit it, i'm in the top 30 at a key stage in the tournament, but you can't hit everything.

the LO8, however:

i have never been so coolered so many times in my life. THREE TIMES i had a nut flush draw, a gutshot nut straight draw, and a nut low draw on the flop, and ALL THREE TIMES i got none of the pot. that's just sick. there aren't any real hands worth recapping, but suffice it to say that 75%+ equity in 3-4 way pots SHOULD FUCKING GET THERE SOMETIMES, especially when the pots are really, really big.

anyway, i've got the HORSE event tomorrow, the PLO8 on tuesday, and the PLO on friday, at least. i'm going to make a score in one of them.

as for cash games, i'm taking it a bit easy for now, making sure i'm relaxed and focused for the events. i've been playing a fair amount of shorthanded LO8 lately, and have been crushing it for nearly 10BB/100. that's just sick. but it's understandable--i'm selecting good tables at good times and getting out when the competition makes me think at all. i know that can't last forever, but i'll ride it out while i can.

good luck, all. i hope i have some better stories to share tomorrow.

and finally, jenni, i hate you too.

Jamie, your blog is majorly boring. It's even worse than your plan. At least that's short.
